The Power of His Presence

“Whoever confesses and acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know [by personal observation and experience], and have believed [with deep, consistent faith] the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides continually in him. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should also [unselfishly] love his brother and seek the best for him. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. We love, because He first loved us. There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.”

1 JOHN 4:15-21 AMP

The Psalmist writes in Psalm 139, “Where can I flee from Your Presence?”

God is everywhere, omnipresent.

God is all powerful, omnipotent.

God is all knowing, omniscient.

Our God is an awesome God.

With unlimited power, presence, and knowledge, there is nothing that is impossible for God.

When we abide in Him, there is nothing that is impossible for us.

Humans are naturally selfish in their carnal nature.

They are self-seeking, self-aggrandizing, self-serving, and self-centered in their fallen, carnal nature.

The sin of pride kills our relationship with God.

If we eat of that forbidden fruit, in that day we will surely die.

Know ye not, that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years?

Adam & Eve had eternal life from the beginning and then they lost it due to sin.

Neither of them lived in excess of 1000 years and thus the Scriptures were fulfilled.

If we believe in Jesus, we inherit eternal life.

When you know that you’ll live forever with your King, you tend to be motivated by what pleases your Heavenly Master.

Those who pretend to live for God, but secretly live for their own selfish agenda, are liars and hypocrites.

They are easy to spot if you know the Truth and you listen to the words they confess with their mouth.

Can sweet and bitter waters flow from the same spring?

We are called to abide in His Presence.

That is the place of His Power.

For when we are weak in ourselves, He is strong and mighty to save.

The Word of the Lord is alive.

Christ, our Saviour, is alive.

The True and Living God is alive.

When we die to ourselves, and take up His Divine Life, we are transformed in our inner being.

This life we’ve been given, what is it for?

Is it to continue the worthless lives we inherited from our ancestors?

Or is it to be born again of the Spirit of All-Mighty God and to bear the image and likeness of God?

The character of Christ, that is our end goal.

March on, Christian soldier.
