God Opposes The Proud

Humble yourselves in the Lord’s presence. Then he will give you a high position.

James 4:10 GW

There is more hope for a fool than for the arrogant.

God’s grace is sufficient.

He knows that the thoughts of mortals are pointless.

Our job is to trust and obey.

And what do we do?

We do our own thing.

That never ends well.

That’s the road to hell.

The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.

He who seeks to save his life will lose it and he who loses his life for the Kingdom will save it.

It’s been said before that the greatest temptation to those in ministry is conceit.

Pride.

Arrogance.

Sin.

We need to cleanse our temples of sin.

There’s a great outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit on all flesh right now.

Many people are waking up to the Good News.

What is that Good News?

That Jesus died for your sins so that you could be restored to right relationship with God.

God is holy and perfect.

God is love.

We are to be conformed to the image and likeness of God.

Think about Jesus.

He was equal to God.

Did He build a big mansion and have lots of servants catering to His every whim and desire?

No.

He became a man of no reputation and was a servant to all.

Did He setup Jesus Christ International Ministries Incorporated?

No, He did not.

He simply walked around and cast out demons, healed everyone who came to Him, and taught people the Truth.

He even preached the occasional sermon.

Did He preach every week at the same time and try to build a megachurch?

Nope.

He lived in the moment.

The revival that’s coming is going to destroy the dead works of religion.

Many dried up local churches will disappear for good.

Others will adjust to the fresh outpouring.

The real Church will rise up as believers unite on mission to fulfill Isaiah 58.

I’m just a disciple.

I have no title, no position.

People on the street mistake me for a pastor or clergy all the time.

I’m just a human who loves other humans.

I brought nothing into this world and I can take nothing out of it.

Everything around us is temporary.

The world and its desires are passing away.

Everything will be burned.

We’re not here to hoard wealth and possessions to ourselves.

That behavior testifies against us and condemns us.

The Acts 2 Church was radically selfless.

They took care of each other and had all things in common.

When was the last time that was preached from the pulpit?

Hypocrites don’t practice what they preach.

God hates hypocrites.

Humble yourselves before the Lord and in due season He will exalt you.

We are nothing but dust and ashes without the Spirit of God.

We were created to worship God and make disciples.

That is the chief end of life.

I am encouraged by the maturity and unity I’m seeing as members from different local churches band together to do good works in the community and worship together.

The breakthrough is coming.

It’s painful to be submitted to God while most of humanity is running the opposite direction.

Hold fast.

Stand your ground.

Reinforcements are coming.

The Lord is strong enough to save.

Blessings and peace to the brethren scattered throughout the nations.

Amen.
